SONGWRITING FROM THE SOUL

_MG_1842_edited.jpg

Raised in a musical family, Rosanna Lea grew up singing four part harmony with her siblings and performing

live with her parents. Taught percussion by her uncle and guitar by her mum and dad, she started writing at 16 and recorded her first collection of songs by reading the instruction manual for her dad's multitrack recorder.

Characterised by soulful vocals combined with fine lyricism and intricate arrangements, her songwriting today betrays a range of influences, from R'n'B to bluegrass.

Her latest album Story to Tell aims to connect with the heart of the listener, touching on themes of justice, love and self-worth through stories close to home and far away.
